92 hatch obd1 with gsr wiring?

i have a 92 hatchback and im putting in a gsr motor i dont know what year yet.... i neeed to take out the obd1 wiring for my sohc engine right? so does it matter if i get obd2 or obd1 wiring?

keep your stock wiring. You might have to add a wire or two (or three) but if you ditch it you will be in a world of pain. OBD2 motors are electrically more or less compatible with OBD1. Be prepared to change some connectors and lengthen some wires, but it should be essentially an easy swap.
