95 LS redline

hay guys just got my ls motor in my vx and i only redline at 6000 should it be like 6800?

What do you mean you redline at 6000?? Are you just going off of what it says on the tachometer? Or can you not rev any higher than 6k rpms?

its more like 5800 , yes i cant rav pass that ?

You've got issues.. Should be able to rev it over 7k with no problem. I think the actual red line is 68 or 6900rpms, but a factory motor/ecu will let you run it a little over that. With a proper chip (that removes the rev limitier), you could rev it to 8500 or so. But I wouldnt reccomend it.

what are you using for an ecu? is it the same ecu that came with the motor and tranny?

yes it is the same ecu that came with the motor and the tranny its a p75 ecu. i dont know i think its the oem tachometer thats in the car its not reading right. its will not rav pass 5800

Ok guys i just found out the problem after checkin out everthing i found out my gas cap was off so i pop it back on and now its koo. redline at 6300 now
