Accord Hatch And A 1st Gen Teg?

It has been a number of years,but I had a Accord hatchback,87 I believe.Does it and the 1st gen teg share the same chassis?It seems after I sold mine a guy I worked with showed up to work in his teg and it was the same car as my old Accord except it said Acura on it.And if so would it be the same process to swap B series into it,as into the teg?Just curious.
