Aftermarket Cam Gear

So i did a minime swap, D15B bottom end D16Z6 Head, my question is, what setting do I use on the cam gear to get my timing right? it says each notch is 2* do I advance or retard the gear and how many degrees do I do it by?

you want to set it at center, or 0 degrees to set the timing.
