The other computer guys can tell you, but goto your brousers tools, click something that says encoding, and click auto japanese
if it doesn't work, then you might need the program...which should be on your reboot disk for the computer.

but whats the use of looking at Japanese if you can't read it....

Who knows...you might know some. It''s not a hard language to pick up.
