Axle Removal

is there an easy way to take axles off? any tips or tricks would be highly appreciated. ive tried pulling the hell out of them but if i yank any harder im gonna pull the car off the stands.

wedge a screw driver in between the tranny and the shaft and pop it out

thanks fellas. but the thing is its on the intermediate shaft side(drivers side) and theres no good flat surface to pry against. it kinda of dishes all the way around like so: ) ( . do you think a big ass ball joint splitter would work?

just hit the cv joint with a hammer
if it still wont com out just take out the intermediate shaft with the axle

If you're trying to save your axles don't do this.

seriously- if you try to pry the axle out with a ball joint separator wedged between the tranny housing and the cv joint, and its not working, something is wrong with your axles/tranny
