My tranny has a cracked case and I don't want to fork out $500 for a new tranny. I was wondering what casings I could transplant my current tranny "guts" into. I have a y1 JDM b16 tranny.

Maybe If I post some horribly innaccurate misinformation someone will come in here and correct it...

soo...

transport everything into a jdm itr 5 speed. :)

I cant say for sure, but i know that the 5th gear from an LS transmission fits into my B16 transmission, and im pretty sure that the ratios between b16 transmissions are the same so I'd think it would work.
Any idea of what b16 tranmission cases usually go for?

The transmission housing/case is not sold separately from the transmission by Honda. Best place to look is on Ebay or honda forums. The cost should be $50 - $75 for a used housing.

Depending on the crack, you should take it to a welding shop.

Just wondering as ive got a useless b16 transmission thats taken apart and mixed with ls parts.

Most cable trany internals fit into cable tranny shells, I do not know about hydo trannies, but I will find out soon enough.
