can i just do a dpfi to mpfi conversion and how many connectors do i need from the teg harness ~sorry for being a noob

yes - you just do the DPFI to MPFI wiring changes to your DX harness - you will need the fuel injector part of the B18 harness and you will need the 7-wire round distributor connector - basically (as far as wiring goes) it is like swapping the D16A6 Si engine into the DX
