Doing a mini me swap to the average person is gonna be way more difficult than just doing a straight drop in motor like a ZC. Hell, a B Series swap in some cases is less confusing to the average person than a mini me.Honda D engine

Mini-Me
One of the most popular and effective methods of achieving greater power from a D-series motor is replacing the cylinder head with one from a more powerful D-series motor. This is usually done between D16A6 and D16Z6 or D16Y7 and D16Y8 engines. The Z6 and Y8 heads are VTEC (Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control) equipped, and increase horsepower significantly over stock levels. This operation is known as a "Mini Me" or partial swap. Mini Me's are popular because they offer a substantial performance upgrade by adding VTEC to the motor at a relatively low cost.Otherwise, I say go j-spec.
The single cam ZC is a decent upgrade for you. It'll drop straight in.If I got a single cam zc what the power on that engine I would like to be around 135 to 140 hp, would i have to change wiring or other components on the zc or would like to pull out the old one and not have to change to much. We have to stay stock appearing on the outside. how bout changing injectors? thanks for the info so far
Then why don't you give him the money to go B Series lol he's on a budget.you will be happier in the end with a b motor
