I pulled the head on my B16, and there is ALOT of carbon build-up on my exhaust valves due to inadaquate PVC system because of my turbo.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a quick way to remove the carbon build up from valves. I've used everything from Simple Green, WD-40, engine degreaser, even trying to scrape it off with a razor blade. Anyone know of a faster way.

Kinda blurry, but you can see the amount of build up...

If not, I'll probably end up buying new ones... Thats how built up they are...

Thanks man, but I don't have access to a hot tank. Anything else? My brother told me to look for some stuff called "Chem-tool B12" or somethin'... I never heard of it.

Any other suggestions?

hot tank is pretty much the best answer.

maybe a dremel with a buffing wheel, but that is pretty risky.
