crank shaft pulley

I have a student that is trying to get the pulley off his crank shaft. Is there any trick to it or do we just have to give it hell to comes loose? He has tried just about everything I can think of. oh yeah its a 95 hatch if that helps any.

Breaker bar + 3-foot section of pipe slipped over the end of the bar

is the bolt out already?

if the bolt is out you could rethread it in, leaving a small gap, then use a puller to get it started...

if you are having trouble getting the bolt out and have no air gun i have suggestions for that too... lol
