Ok so I'm trying to help my next door neighbor set up his dial up internet and was having a hell of a time dealing with verizon. Finally after talking to the third "Davids" supervisor I was able to set up his account online as the billing department is not open. (Seems like every time I call a call center in India I get a "David".) Anyways we finally get his computer set up and it says connected but we cannot pull up any web pages. After testing to see if there is a connection he says that the problem is with internet explorer and that I need to call a local technician to come fix the problem. So I hang up, call BS and call them back and am basically told to quit calling them and that I was told already its not their problem, its the internet explorer on the computer. Is there an easier way? I mean shit...its dial up!
