2ooo civic

ummm yeah ok WHAT 2000 civic

there was more than one engine in civics in 2000

CX - D16Y7
DX - D16Y7
EX - D16Y8
HX - D16Y5
LX - D16Y7
Si - B16A2
VP - D16Y7 (?)

yes all of them will fit in your car but some of them will require wiring for VTEC
so please do a little research, ask a more detailed question, and then you will get better answers

Ok, well, its the exact motor you have in your car now. So, if you are looking at it thinking it will give more power, then you are s.o.l. b/c it wont. 96-00 dx/cx/lx motors are the same, identicle everything.

yeah...analyzing what he's trying to do should not matter.

just answer the question...as he could have blown his motor up and is looking for a cheap replacement.

basically, any d-series motor will fit in your car without any problems, with the d16y8 you'll need to add wires for vtec, and with the b16 you'll need to get mounts/transmission and ecu along with wiring vtec/different shift linkage etc.

hope this helps.
