z3 'wagons'?

I thought it was coupe/convert no wagon...

They had a limited production hatchback version. It's pretty awesome IMO.

Yeah, when I said coupe I meant the hatch. The hard topped version of the z3.

Is there actually a wagon or just the hatch?

Oh. No, there's no "true" wagon. That would be stupid.

Must be fun as hell to :driver:

What model is this? I've never seen one before till now.

Since they quit making those you can pick em up pretty cheap. Considering how much they originally sold for I would say those and the 750IL's drop in price more than any other car I have ever seen. I mean the 750 you could get with a V12 as well and with all the options you were looking at like 100k, within a decade you can pick one up for under 10k? Thats insane. They got 2 850's on ebay right now for like 20k buy it now. I can only assume it's because people don't want to buy a used supercar. But it's not like you can find a countache or something like that for under 10k in comparable condition.

95 850 CSi's go for $60,000-$70,000 dude. The 850 is a sports car top to bottom, the 750 is a sedan with a powerful engine, that pumped out 50 less hp the it did in the 850. Apples and oranges guy.

I was gonna say, there was a '93 8-series on the autotrader about 6 months ago for 33k and it was only the V8.

One is rolled and a parts car, the other is about right, mostly I see the 95+'s getting a lot better prices,a nd the CSi's, not Ci's.

Well there is a V12 850i on ebay right now, 73k miles for 20k buy it now. I dont think thats apples to oranges. If you meant 750 compared to the 850, yeah but I said there were 2 850's, not 750's.

If there is perhaps a diff. model of the 850 that goes for 40k more I have yet to see it.

ok obviously you didnt look at either of the links i put up for information on the specific models and such so ill spell it out here

the 850CSi is for all purposes an M8 (there was an actual prototype M8, but it never made it to production)
it has an M engine
it has M suspension
it has an M gearbox
it is even refered to as an M8 on the paperwork
Fahrzeugschein.jpg

so while the other 850s are nice cars, the engine is different, the suspension is different, the gearbox is different, etc....
it would be the same as comparing an E36 328 to an E36 M3, or an E46 330 to an E46 M3.... they look similar from the outside but that is pretty much where it ends.

add all that to the fact that only 225 850CSi were ever brought to the US

i just checked ebay, there are no 850CSi on there
i also checked autotrader, there is one for sale on there... it is a 1995 with 57755 miles, and it is selling for $65,000.00

850CSi on autotrader

once again ill throw up the website if you or anyone else has any questions
http://www.e31.de/english.html

go there, there is more information than most people could possibly care about

There you go, apples and oranges :)

Actually, I didn't think there were even that many CSi's brought to the US. I wonder what you'd have to do to get one there, since they are apparently "allowed" for import?

huh???

not really sure what you are asking here :hmm:
the 850CSi was sold at dealerships in the US, you didnt have to import one on your own

if you bring back an 850csi, im moving to texas, and robbing you.
