Finally got my bonus in so its time for Genny to get a clutch. she's been slipping pretty good for a while now and its time.
i'm feeding it about 80 ft/lbs over stock, give or take, which is why it failed so quickly (starting slipping at 9k just in high gears, currently 25 k on it and i can slip it all the way down to 2nd if i romp on it :X). normal driving it still holds just fine. but it hates boost. lol
So, here's my dilemma.
Stage 2//3+/5 all pretty much cost the same damn price. guy on the gc site has a buy going for 750 shipped for all stages. (They discontinued the 3 and 4 and merged them into the 3+)
everyone has had probelms with other brands, so the comp clutch is the brand im going with.

Genesis Coupe Competition Clutch Stage 5 Kit (UNSPRUNG) |
I'm probably not ever going to need a stage 5 clutch. especially the unsprung one. Honestly, i'm pretty happy with the car's performance. At least not diappointed in it enought that i'm wanting to dump 3-5 grand on a turbo upgrade, injectors, haltech, exhaust, etc etc etc. it could always be faster. but its my daily and its good as it sits right now. I just want it to hold the power it has.
I rarely sit in stop/go. only when some jackasses decide to get together on the highway.
So, that puts me at the 2 Vs 3.5.
2 will hold all the power i make. But for the same price, is it not smarter/wiser to get the 3.5?
what's the realistic downfall to it? will it last less miles? sure, it may slip less but who cares. i'm not worried about the 'driving' aspect of it. i'll get used to anything with some miles.
If it cost more, i think i would get the 2 and call it a day.
but for the same price, why not get more?
thoughts?
