fuel consumption should be better than a 305 with a properly tuned boosted honda
and if its properly built it should retain reliability
if you stay out of boost, the gas milage will be fine
injector size is really nill if you have the thing tuned
whether its running 60% of a 450 or 90% of a 300 its still using the same amount of fuel
you're still looking for the same target a/f ratios no matter what injectors you're tuning
i often wonder about you man...He wont do better than 12mpg on a full load.
Get the firebird if you want reliability & equivalent gas mileage.
With a low boosted 1.6l honda (250 or 300 cc injectors) you are probably going to get around 23mpg highway.
If you go the HMT route and run an FMU, you are probably going to get 20ish on the highway.
How is that better than a firebird?
