H22 code 172

hey guys my friend has a 01 lude and he is throwing code 172 for o2 sensor (bank 1)we just replaced this o2 sensor the other week and now its throwing the code again what could be making the o2 sensor go bad? its pretty much a stock motor just a intake on it.any ideas also how do we reset the maintinence req light

How many miles on the car? Could be that the cat has gone bad. Not likely, but a friend of mine with a 98 Accord had it happen to her, with only 80,000 miles on it.

its probably not that its gone bad (unless its wired wrong/shorting out) its more so probably that your motor is running too lean or too rich
