Hatchback Side Moldings

Can i just rip off the black side moldings off the hatch? The black moldings dont match my red hatchie and i think it would be better to remove them.

I wondered the same with my car, but after getting a honda tech guy's opinion, I decided not to. The moldings are held on with clips, which plug into holes in your doors. So, when you "rip off" the moldings, you'll just get holes that look worse than the black plastic. Consider painting the moldings instead.
