HELP removing head/adjuster???

I am removing my head to get to the head gasket. I have already removed the camshaft sprockets. Do I have to loosen the valve adjusters? please help...

you need to do the following to get to the headgasket:
remove valve cover
remove cam gears and timing belt
remove cam caps
remove distributor
remove camshafts
remove wiring/crap that connects to the head (exhaust manifold, accessories,etc)
remove head bolts (deeper down inside the head)
itll be loose at this point, just a matter of getting the leverage to pry it free
