Hello all,
I've got an 88 Civic that I purchased extremely cheap and has a dead cylinder. Body is in great shape, and just rolled over 100k. I'm either going to be rebuilding the motor that is in it, or buying a replacement. Nothing fancy, 100% stock. I've got all the performance I need in my V8.
Question is, the 88's have a different # of splines on the input shaft coming from transmission. I'm looking at ordering a replacement engine from Nippon, and was curious if it was 89-91 engine would work. More specifically, would it matter at all, even if I were to use my pre-existing flywheel on a crank from 89-91?
Thanks a ton,
RC
