Good morning, first off thank you all for the add to the forum. I bought a 1997 Civic not too long back, and the guy I got it from had modified it for dirt track racing. The engine was swapped for a B20B out of a '98 CR-V, the transmission from a '97 Integra LS, and the ECU out of a '94 or '95 Integra. He slung a rod through the side of the block, so I'm building another B20B to go back in it from a '97 CR-V. The engine I'm putting in it will also be as stock as possible due to class rules (so no VTEC), with the exception of a long tube header and a cold air intake. The wiring harness in the engine is all hacked up but he did have it running with it. Do you think it'd be wise to get one of those tucked wiring harnesses like this one? Tucked Engine Harness OBD1 Budget D & B-series For Civic Integra B16 B18 D16 New | eBay

The last owner also absolutely cooked the clutch, pressure plate and flywheel, what car would I need to get these for? Would I get these from another '97 Integra?

Aside from all this, the engine mounts are homemade so I'll be getting a proper swap set. Does it sound like I have everything needed to get this back together? I'm no stranger to working with Hondas but this is my first time dealing with any sort of swap. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the site.

A tucked harness might work, but it may be a pain to work on for a track car. an oem civic harness is probably the easiest thing to use. it should work for 99% of the b20's stuff out of the box, maybe have to wire in a thing or two depending on the trim level of the civic.

pretty much any b-series clutch will work. ls/b16/gsr/etc are all the same bell housing size.

a set of mounts from like hasport.com would do wonders to keep the engine tight in the bay and align the axels correctly.

He said in the listing that it's an EX, but I haven't been able to run the vin to check for sure. I'm fairly certain the harness that came with the car is oem, there's a couple wires cut off it but it doesn't seem too bad off. I figured as much with the clutch and flywheel. On the topic of axles, the axles that came with the car are pretty rough. I've read in other places it looks like those would also come from an Integra? I appreciate the help btw.

assuming its a coupe/sedan, and not a hatch

Look for EJ8 in the vin. That's an EX
EJ6 would be a dx
EJ7 is the hx with vtec-e

Sorry I'm just now getting back to you, the door vin is gone and there's a dashboard riveted over the vin under the windshield. There should be another one I can check on the firewall, isn't there? Also is there any way to identify which half shaft I have? It looks identical lengthwise to the halfshaft I pulled off the '97 motor while I was at the junkyard.

Ok so update I did find and check the vin, turns out it's actually a dx (EJ6). Makes sense since there's no abs lol. Also meant to say yes it's a coupe, sorry about that.
