Yes, I'm still alive. I've been very busy. I had to buy a welder to help me along with a few stages of Project Phoenix, but it's coming together quite nicely. I overshot my completion date by about six weeks, and at this point, I can't speculate as to when it'll be done, but I'm going to put it at a month out before it's usable and two months before it's pretty.

BTW- Suzuki XL-7 engines sound like quiet versions of 350Z motors. No shit.

I believe I now own the worlds smallest turbocharger. The compressor inlet is just under an inch in diameter, and the compressor housing is 3.8" across. Gotta love '80's IHI turbos. :)

oh... you didn't like... fall off the face of the earth and get sucked into a parallel universe and come back to talk about it? :(

damn. :P

have fun with that welder... hehehe

twat u buy for a welder? And how could you fabricate such great things without a welder?

I bought a Hobart Handler 135 on closeout for next to nothing. It's not that big, but it'll do what I want. And I had access to a friends welder up 'till a few months ago, when he decided to be a poop head and move out of state.

He could weld stainless with .035" stainless wire and tri-mix shielding gas. You can weld aluminum with Helium and Argon shielding gas, but you'd need a spool gun. Why not cromoly? I've never worked with anything called cromoly before, so I am truthfully curious. :)
