higher compression

ok i got a d15b7 i bought the car for 450$ it needs new rings. i want to build this engine for all motor. i want to put new pistons with a 10.5:1 compression if i do this will my valves clear them or will i have to adjust my valves?

I would think so, espcially if you dont want them running into the pistons. Search the forums for your topic. something must have been posted before.

there is nothing that can be adjusted as far as valves to change clearance, you can only change the valve lash, but that will only change the clearance slightly between the camshaft and the slider rocker arm. you need pistons with valve reliefs deep enough for the valves to open, clay your motor if you are unsure.

i believe the new ones have the cut outs for the valves but i will check it real good before cranking the car up and running it around.
