I'm halfway through my beef sandwich just now when I see some reddish stuff on it. I look closer and it's gone. I get about a third of the way through when I see it again. So I pull out a slice...

And my damn beef sandwich is shimmering!

It's like the effect on a credit card hologram, or a CD. All the beef is infused with a coppery sheen that is invisible unless it's held at a sharp angle, and only in one direction. My boss just looked too and it's plainly visible to him as well, it's not just my eyes.

WTF did I just eat??

I thought that at first too... But it's not a slight color change, it's coppery and makes the dark brown beef as pink as a salmon when held at the right angle. I've found pieces of beef that shimmer in green, yellow and blue, too. You can see a grainy texture when you look close, like a metallic powder was in the water it was cooking in.

yeah roast beef does that sometimes especially the stuff that is prepackaged.

:o dude i would call someone that just dont sound right there should be a number on the pack somewere, and hey look on the bright side if it dont kill you, you will be rich

WTF?
Metalic beef, thats crazy I have never heard of that or seen it.
Maybe it was a gay cow, I mean you did say there was all kinds of colors in it.

Arby's roast beef does that too. If you slice it as thin as it's supposed to be (Arby's training says you should be able to put it on a piece of newspaper and read the article underneath it). It'll shimmer like that while it's still moist.

It's perfectly healthy.
