So there was an

earth-shattering kaboom last night, sounded like a nearby lightning strike but triple the intensity. I thought it might have been a sonic boom. Then I found this article in the morning:

Explosion levels Long Grove home, no immediate reports of injuries

It was at least 4 miles away and it rattled the entire house. Amazingly our son didn't wake up! He wakes up if you creak the floorboards but he stays asleep for a natural gas explosion that shakes the whole house like an earthquake. Go figure. :)

Turns out it was a big empty mansion in a natural gas explosion... Sounds like an insurance fraud thing to me.

excellent use of Marvin
and i agree on the ins fraud

when i was in about 4th or 5th grade a house a few miles from me blew up (it was ins fraud) blew the whole roof off in one piece and it landed in the neighbors yard

I bet you cook on electric.

I'm glad you still drive a horse to work everyday. I don't remember the last time a horse exploded or caught fire on the side of the road.

Actually, Budweiser has sold me on horses being good in the snow.
