Mysterious
Gsr vtec...with no vtec kicking in...somethings wrong but i went for it anyways...

1st gear, rev to 3k and lauched (pilled)...power shift 2nd gear and it pulls hard and a long chirp...slammed to 3rd and chirp...popped to 4th and as the rpm is still running high...vtec doesnt kick in and once it hitted 5k rpm it SLOWLY goes...

Its stock by the way...just with airmass header and intake...=) soon putting in FPR...and adjustable cams...16k miles on motor...

1 question...putting cams in, should i also do the gears too...?

what are adjustable cams?? and the adj. fpr is a waste of money, you dont need it.. the car is basically stock..

Start with the basics, make sure you aren't throwing a check engine light, also what ecu are you running, check your oil level.
if you have no check engine lights, your oil is good and you are running an ecu that is even capable of vtec then start with the diagnosis of the vtec solenoid (if the switch was bad you would have a check engine light)
Check power to the switch by checking continuity between pin a4 and the wire at the solenoid, also check to make sure there is no continuity between that wire and ground
Check the resistance of the solenoid it should be between 14 and 30 ohms
if these things check out then check the screen to make sure it's not all gummed up.
