well ive been looking around for 3 guages...oil pressure, water temp, fuel pressure....but i dont know what to get (electrical,mechanical) i am so confused..

also with the oil press is 100 enough or do i need one that goes to 150-200.....what are good brands ...i want to spend $100 at the most for each guage...


my lsv oil line kit is where the oil sending unit goes. so where do i put it....

i need help

Oil pressure is your most important guage. It will tell if you you have a serious problem going on. I like autometer for a brand. The others guages are up to your preferences.

I am going to uses three, maybe four in my turbo project.

- Oil Pressure
- Boost
- Exhaust Temp
- Maybe numerical A/F with Wideband

Sorry about missing your other question; mechanical is the way to go when possible.

..i called titan they said electrical is better because no oil or water in the cabin....how ever all the electrical ones are 2x as much...also the greddy gauges are in some other measuring table.

..i just want to know which are the best fucking guage i need for these: oil press, water temp and maybe fuel press and i want to spend 300-350 dollars at the most....HELP my dyno is on sat

100 PSI is fine, even with an oil cooler and no thermostat (on the oil lines) I never see more than 80-90 PSI on cold oil @ 3k RPMs or so. I would go with mechanical gauges and an isolator. It is pretty much a diaphram that has the hot oil on one side and a harmless fliud like antifreeze on the other side, so no hot fluids come into the cabin. FWIW mechanical gauges are more accurate but more difficult to install. Fuel pressure is OK, but if you just want to spend a little bit of money, pick up the oil pressure for now then add water temp and oil temp later, get the fuel pressure if you really think it necessary down the road.

Did your honda not come with a water temp gauge? I know mine did its right next to the gas level gauge. Is that not enough or do you need to know the exact temp of your water?

i dont need that gauge anymore. It was busted then but managed to fix it. damn this is an old thread! though its old im still shopping for the right gauges at the right price. Im having trouble since i work out of town all weekdays and now my comp took a shit (thanks to my brother and porn).ohh well. I'm shopping for oil pressure, a/f with wide band,voltmeter(car has some electrical problem that i havent quite pin pointed).
