im bored, so i thought id check this car out a little more... i know we've had a couple threads on this car, but one thing about it gets to me. There is no hood scoop for the intercooler.... why put a top mount on a car without any airflow to it?????? its like they were thinking, "hey lets put the thing that cools the air right on top of the motor...which is damn hot." "BRILLIANT!!"

that front grill has pretty large openings. i wouldnt be surprised if that wasnt intended to direct airflow in there and over the intercooler. true it wont be as efficient as a scoop directing airflow right to it but its still something.

but i didnt know they were awd. thats cool.

I've been told it's a reverse-induction thing - air flows in from the back of the hood to the intercooler.

Not sold on it yet, though....

all you can do is wait and see- stock is meant for what 6 psi- keeping that cool wouldnt be that hard - but as for upping the boost i wouldnt trust it

SCC said back in feb "with any luck the Mazdaspeed6 should hit American showrooms by next summer." thats a little mis leading..this next summer coming up..or not this summer..but next summer as in 06??

btw, 0-62 in 6.6 sec.
