im new to this club... i have a 89 honda prelude si
well it will be its a project.
my last build and my new daily driver is an 05 wrx
diffrent build yeas but i do know what you talking abt
ive built a 95 lude and an 93 accord, lude has an h23 block with h22 heads
i wrecked that one

well to my point
my 89 is in great shape only needs a starter to run..
body is strait ... paint no so much ... interior has no cracks
has the 2.0 block that is in good shape wih 150000 miles heads are good but the power is sad
i dont know where to start
its an auto thats going for sure
idk if the block is a good start or if i should pick up a k20 block and build it or an h23 like my 95

opinions?

the 89 is a straight up pain in the ass. I remember a while back hearing that a company was making H22 mount kits. This is the only link i can find:

1FunRyd · Performance Customs · Projects

That should save you from having to fab your own mounts. Below is their contact information. I don't know if they're still in business:

2753 East Broadway Road
Suites 101 - 105
Mesa, Arizona 85204
(480) 982 - 3900
Info@AZRaceMachine.com

If it were me, i'd probably go with a straight h22 and stroke it using an aftermarket kit with some high comp pistons and a nice cam. thats just me though.

What about swapping in an f22 and going turbo? the iron sleeves will be good for boost and the engines are cheap and easy to find

sounds good to me. you can use the same mount kit. plenty of people get decent results on stock f22 turbos (like 250-300hp)
