i wouldnt sand blast it, rather, bead blast it, aluminum turns out wayy better bead blasted.

Yeah I don't think they would sell sulfuric acid at the local hardware store maybe the local science supply store.

no sulfuric acid is H2SO4, its also called battery acid, but it shouldn't be called an acid cause its actually a base.
but how cool is "sulfuric base"? it just doesn't sound as tough.
i didn't think a bead blaster could take the paint off of a valve cover cause the paint is actually baked into the metal.

go to autozone ph34r and get this shit called "aircraft cleaner" its in a blue/white bottle. it will take the paint right off the valve cover.
