OBD2-OBD1 conversion question

So I think when i do my b18 swap im going to use an rywire comversion jumper to go to obd1 in my 96 hatch. My question is can i still use my snap on scanner to pull ecu codes from the data port or do i have to use a jumper to pull the codes?

i have an obd1 jumper harness on my 99dx

i might be passing by tonight.... maybe not
