distributer dilema

can I just cut plugs and splice wires by color match will this work to run a obd1 distributer in a obd2 97 civic ex. I already have a obd1 ecu p28 and conversion harness but having issues with the dang blasted distributer HELP...........???

I believe he is stating it is a OBD2 to OBD1 jumper harness for the distributor. Just like the ECU jumpers.
