Ya, its great if you have the means to do it yourself, but sourcing all the components can take a lil while. There are different formulas of bio-diesel too. My cousin was able to find one that didnt require any fuel system conversion. He filled up at a local gas station one day, drove the truck as he normally would until it came time to refuel, and filled up with his own brew. He has successfuly run it in 5 of his own DD's that I know of, maybe more, and the worst problem he had was a fuel filter needing changed after he switched to his home brew. In reality tho, that was a 95 or 96 Dodge truck that may or may not have ever had the filter changed, so it may or may not have been related to the bio-diesel.

i would be all for walking, rollerblading, or riding a bike to work... if work wasnt 50 miles away from home

and the motorcycle / scooter thing wont work for me either because it is not at all uncommon for me to have to pick up or drop off client's computers or pick up / drop off servers in NYC
cant exactly put 2 servers and a disk array in a backpack and hop on the bike (no im not getting a fucking sidecar)

being that work is 90%+ of my fuel consumption it wouldnt even be cost effective to get a scooter or something for outside of work use

i miss my insight :(

My work adapted to me. They will either ship a box across state and have it there for me, or will give me a work car to deliver stuff. I show up on site with my dorky Nerds To Go costume and my non-dorky 1200.

I get a vehicle from the office. Given, it's a HUGE Dodge Ram 2500 Club Van, but at least I'm not paying for gas and maintnance. It's actually kinda fun to drive, and the AC will freeze your blood.

I know i have said it before, but TEXAS kicks much ass, so do it

I'm seriously tempted. Michigan sucks complete ass. Cost of living is sky high, and I don't know why, the roads here are shit. I swear they don't maintain them at all. It's nearly impossibly to find decent paying jobs, the winter lasts forever, and everybody hates Hondas (Detroit = big three capital).

Seriously, I'm thinking about it...

Did I mention how dificult it is to drive a humongous club van, with no turning radius to speak of, in europe?

Has anyone yet defined you how hot it gets in texas ? From Michigan, you'll die.

it doesnt get THAT bad, on an average summer it gets to the 100's on really hot days but is usually in the high 80's mid 90's ... but in the winter 40 is considered pretty cold haha.
