Yeah, you're right. I mean, I don't know what I was thinking, buying a detuned rally car that's capable of 600 HP on the stock bottom end, and driving it every day, turning a 13 second flat 1/4 mile with a total of $6 invested in power uppers, and kicking ass in rally cross and amature rally, and currently holds the all time record for Pikes Peak (Rod Millen)... I should have just got a Camaro or some shit, huh?

lol, The Celica All-Trac was an exception to the Celica's. A lot of Celica's didn't have AWD, boost, and 220-ish (I forget exact numbers) hp and tq. :)
 
Some are iron blocked, RWD half-engined muscle cars :)

First off my comment wasn't directed toward you, it was directed toward Jap cars like civics, del sols, or like integras...even jettas and golfs....all i am saying is, if they were meant to go that fast, they would come off the assemebly line that way....don't ya think?

But like i said, i am all about speed so, again...I say...More power to you

Well first, off Corvettes were built on race inspired Europeon cars....2nd Obviously they were built to go fast because they come off the line that way....a 383 stoker its self does not add much HP but alot of torque, the machine work you have done with the stroker adds the HP, Theres a HUUUGGGGEEEE difference between a Honda civic and a Corvette, BUt take for example a Supra, now that is a car that is meant to go fast...that i can see upgrading

any car is what you make it

a civic running a 13 sec 1/4 mile is a shitload more impressive then a vette running 13's stock

half the fun of owning a car is working on it yourself and making it what you want it to be ---- fast

im glad your content with a car that was made fast by an assembly line and not from your own blood, sweat, and tears :p

but oh well its all in the spirit of speed like you said :D

To ME(see how i am stating this is my opnion only) <------- Buying a 1000 car and putting $6k in the engine in it to make it run 11's, 12's is just as impressive and as classy as a monkey scratching his ass...in the end all you are driving is a fast jalopy...any nuthead can go buy a 500 dollar car and drop 6-7k in it to make it go fast...AND thats all fine and dandy ifs thats your "thing".....yeah fine if you go out and buy a new car and rock the shit out of it..thats all well and good...if your gonna drop that much into a civic...why not just go out and get a nice car like a 3000gt tt or a nissan 300zx tt...or a supra t or like a 944 porshe something nice and classy thats already fast and and put less money into making it faster? Thats all i am saying..and again... I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST RICER MOBILES :p FOR REAL

BUt like you said, maybe your not in impressed with a car that is meant to go fast and needs very little of your help getting it to go faster.....In the end, its about about taste i guess....if we all had the same taste....the world would be boring...Brian would be a nuthead still though

I'm actualy very entheused about seeing Brians finished project...if he ever f'in finishes the dam thing...SLACKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
