Its beyond me why they havn't done this be years ago. That platform has been around for years, and their large car lineup has sucked ever since i can remember.

If it's a Holden it really doesn't matter anyway. Look at Chrysler, how many versions of a car did they make that were pretty much the same? Every car company has probably done rebadging to some degree.

The car doesn't look bad, I wish it did look a little more like the G6 with some broader lines. Our G6 has been great so far. It's big and confortable and there is plenty of room for the dog in back, makes a good road trip car. Oh and awd + snow = ftw I doubt GM will put it in a car anytime soon tho.

I'd definately test drive the LS2 6spd G8 GT. Other than that....meh. They are trying to bust into a market between 4-door full-size family sedans, and 4-door luxury sport sedans. Basically it's going to try and compete with the 300C, the Magnum...and the....the.....

That's it. RWD will turn some people off, especially people who think "ZOMG, AWD is teh best evar, its wicked SAFE!!!!"

Any cheaper and you can get into Accords or Camry's and the higher priced G8 GT's will be going toe to toe with 3-series BMW's, and other more refined sedans.

I do see it as a great cop car though.

In Aus, they still have and have had the El Camino the entire time since we canceled its US sales...... its a gto with a truck bed

and that G8 is a GTO with 4 doors.

If this car is built ok and doesnt feel like a bunch of great ideas that were pulled off half assed. It will be a good car. but that wont happen, it will feel cheap, and all the cool options will work half assed.
