I know everything
Hi,
I have a 1996 Honda Accord F22B1 w/5 speed. The trans went out 4 months ago, and I replaced it with a used on from a 1997 Honda Accord. The second gear syncro was pretty much non-existent, so I tried to take it back under warranty. Well he's having a hard time getting a new one in, but he told me that a previous gen (1990-1993) manual trans would swap in no problem, I would just have to make my own transmission mount.
I was wondering if there really is no difference between the two, and how much fabrication needs to be done to the one trans mount?
Also, Would it be possible to swap the "guts" of one case into the other one. And if this is possible, where can I find some info on how to split the case?
Thanks,
Tony
