I have more time now so I'll expound...
Thomas Jefferson possessed the hand that wrote the declaration if independence. A document which claimed that freedom was mandated by God himself.
Jefferson was also not opposed to securing those freedoms through warfare, neither was he opposed to foreign help in doing so (France aided the colonies militarily during the revolution and Jefferson never opposed the notion, I'm sorry if History's reality doesn't mesh with your lose interpretation of the bill of rights).
The founding fathers were by all rights conservatives, Jefferson and Franklin being two of the more moderate but still would be right of McCain. There is a popular notion, by those who would find it convenient, to paint our founding fathers as Libertarian Liberals who would be Pro Choice, pro Amnesty, Pro Defiance, this is simply not true. If you want to know how the founding fathers treated decenters ask Aaron Burr. While they would agree with Paul's views on personal liberty they would also most likely say that Paul's military opposition, and yours, amounts to treason punishable by death.
There is zero record in there words or actions which would prove otherwise.
and I'm sure my signature has great meaning for you, members often find themselves the most attached to whatever group is mentioned.
