i have a plain gsr motor andsome b16 pistons laying around in good condition. i wanted to know if i was to put them in will they work and how much compression will it raise me up to.
you will get a higher CR ....i would do it...i used pr3 pistons in my lsv...but with the gsr you will get realy high cr...tune realy good.... http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/compcalc/compcalc.php
this is the best CR calculator ive found
and why wouldn't it fit? i know that gsr, itr, and ctr wont fit the ls or b16 rods due to the rod head size being bigger but i dont think he will have a problem puting them on since its the opposite. aftermarket pistons have plenty of room between the piston and the rod so what would be the problem?
I've been reading compression ratios for a couple of days trying to pick out mine and if the sources I've read are correct the b16 pistons are going to offer the highest compression ratio besides the CTR's. I'm going off of the few who have done the math as the cspeed calc is supposedly off.
