I want to swap a B16A2 from a 99 Si into my 99 EX coupe. I have read this is the easiest swap for my car, is this true? What will I need to do the swap? Can I use the stock harness and ECU or would it make more sense to switch to the Si harness and ECU? My car is also an automatic and I want to switch it over to 5-speed. I know this also makes it a little more difficult but it needs to be done. What parts do I need to do the swap? I have also read the latest SCC magazine and in the back it has sections on turbocharging. With my stock D16Y8 engine I can make a Turbonetics claimed 225 HP at the wheels! With the B16 swap and a turbo kit from Turbonetics I can make a claimed 250 corrected flywheel HP, which i believe is lower at the wheels. Both HP's are made on 8psi of boost, and both kits cost the same price. Would I be better off staying with the stock engine and t/c it or should I still do the swap and than t/c the engine? I know the rod ratio of the B16 is much better than my D16, would that make a huge difference in my engine lasting in the long run? I am not going to be going over that HP amount (at least in the forseeable future), so would I be safe with the stock engine. Any help would be greatful.
