why is somebody on a honda forum, who owns a scion, trying to get a guy to buy a lame ass corvette? blah :beat:

Well i owned a supercharged corvette for 3 years, just sold it 3 months ago, just bought the scion 3 weeks ago....and i guess my point being...if you want something fast...why not just jump right to the source )P..

:worthy: :worthy:

haha I hate that reasoning. "if you want something fast, buy something that's already fast"

I'll keep my insurance payments the same and make a slow car a 'sleeper'. Thanks.

Domestic owners hate imports, and Import owners hate domestics. Domestic owners can't believe people don't like their cars straight up 100%, apparently everyone wants a Mustang or LS1... Personal opinion and (most likely) past experience > that reasoning

i absolutly do not hate imports...i've owned two celicas, a 4 runner and now the scion....i'm saying if your looking for all this power and have the money....why not just buy something already fast...that way you don't have to spend so much time and money trying to make it fast....and then spend even more money and 2 years trying to work out all the kinks....and it will never be as fast as a car already built for it...thats all i am saying...

.if this guy has a turbo type r and can afford an s2k....well hell you can get a zr1 with low miles for less then what you can buy an s2k for and a zr1 will smoke a turbo s2k any day of the week...a ZR1 is just an example..a LS1 would own too...Mustangs are gay....so no on those

I think if you actualy drove a zr1 you might change your mind.....

thats just MY opinion is all, you don't have to agree what-so-ever

Change my mind on what? I love domestics. I've already got a full list of bolt ons planned for my foxbody Stang, when I can afford one.

I was making a general comment about that.

haha werd. Best sounding V8s IMO are 5.0 and 4.6s with full exhaust... flowmasters sound badass to me.

But I dunno, I was kinda lookin around for a 408 big block for my future foxbody even.

Hopefully this'll be the car that I can actually shop for, instead of rushing into it like I did with the Escort and Si.

I want to find the absolute perfect black foxbody lx notch 5 speed.

you scared of your car getting stolen, so you wanna buy a convertible?

...

well let's see what has a highter theft rate? i believe it's an itr. ill also put it like this turbo r sitting in my drive way my brothers girlfriends s2g right next to it what do you think there gonna steal? not trying to be a dick just telling it like it is.

shit, if it were ME, I would steal the S2K. But that's just me, and I'm not a theif.

lol yeah for real.
s2k has higher resale, plus its shit tons easier to steal.

add that to the fact that most car thiefs, that are going after hondas anyway, dont know the difference between a type r and a normal teg.

i dunno, i could just see an s2k getting stolen way before a type r

you guys are all crazy
any thief with any kind of knowledge for making money is gonna go for the worked integra...
hands down, without a doubt

who's gonna fuck with a vin'ed up s2k motor???
or all the vin'ed up stock body parts?
no thanks...

they could part the integra and prob make 2x the money...
and if its worked there's usually a good chance the motor has jdm numbers making it even harder to trace..

sorry but no mexican car thief i know has any idea about what you just said lol

not to be racist or anyting :p

im just saying, the people that are into stealing cars for ALOT of money are the ones who research the shit.

people who go after piddly shit like hondas arent exactly geniuses most of the time.

just an opinion

the teg's don't make it to the top 10 stolen cars list EVERY year for no reason...
:p

if theives were so smart they would know that crime doesn't pay...
oh wait, yea it does...

Stealing hondas is popular because it's easy. How many of you guys can strip a Honda alongside the road ? It's simple, and people are well practiced at it. Like Recked said - the motors are JDM and nearly untraceable, the interiors are aftermarket and the typical Type R owner has higher-dollar stuff installed on the car than your usual Honda owner.
