ticking injector/occasional misfire

My entire ignition system is new, new fuel filter, no problem in the air intake of course. However I still have a slight misfire, I also have one injector thats got kind of a loud tick (I thought my valves were out again for a minute). Could these be related?

sure. a misfire is when the combustion process doesn't take place properly-- be it fuel or ignition or air related.

swap the injector from a "good" cyl. and see if it moves to that cly.

if so, you need a new injector.
