transmission help

hey people well i have a 90 integra with 5th gear and reverse messed up i have a frind who has a 96 integra gsr transmission can any one help me to find out if the gears would fit

i would swap the tranny. thats just me though. my 2 cents.

swaping the tranny wont work. but u can switch the gears. depending on the tranny case numbers. wat type of tranny do u have ie s1 or y1 or wat. and i can help more

The tranny cases are different. One is hydraulic, the other is cable. Plus, the input shaft diameter is different, so you'd need a new clutch, also.


As far as the internals being swappable, that can be done, but is hardly worth it when you can get a good condition 90-91 Teg tranny for $300 or less regularly.
