About how many horses would a b16 w/ 9:1 CR pistons and a intercooled T3 turbo put out at 14psi? At this boost level would I have to upgrade any of the egine internals? I have done a little research and I figured about 300hp at the crank, is this about right? If I ran 6-8psi in town could I use pump gas? My plan is to build a street crx capable of 11's at the track. Thanks

P.S. Where should I get my b16?

14 PSI from a t3 on an internally stock B16a is WAY pushing it. If you're using aftermarket 9:1 pistons, you SHOULD be ok, but the rod bolts start to hate life at about 350 hp.

You should make about 250-275 at the wheels depending on the trim of the turbo. If it's small-ish, 200-225.

At 14 PSI with correct tuning, pump gas should be fine, even at the track. You might want to back off the timing a little more on 14 PSI, though, just to be on the safe side.

250 at the wheels in a LIGHT CRX, like 1800 pound, would be capable of some 11's if you can drive, and get the car to hook up.

most "real" turbos are about the same price dude... expect 800 bucks

You can order the big t3's from cheapturbo.com... $550.

OR, if you get a Thunderbird Turbo Coupe, or Mustang SVO turbo froma junkyard, it's just one step down from the super 60.. It's a big 60 trim turbo.

Depends on where you get it from... A junkyard will sell you one for $20 - $200 depending on condition.
