- 1 pound kosher salt
- 1 pound dark brown sugar
- 5 pounds ice

- 1 1/4 cups, brown sugar
- 10 whole cloves
- 3 teaspoons, black peppercorns

- the peel from one orange or one tangerine (colored part only - not white pith)
- [optional: 3 teaspoons, dried thyme and/or 3 teaspoons, dried sage]

- 1 cup lime juice
- 12 oz can frozen orange juice concentrate
- 1 cup dry white wine

- 1 cup brown sugar
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon ground sage
- 1 tablespoon Hungarian or smoked paprika
- 4 bay leaves
Best Ever Fried Turkey
- 1 1/2 gallons COLD water (6 quarts)
- 1 1/2 cups Kosher Salt
- 1 1/4 cups dark brown sugar
- 10 cloves
- 3 tablespoons freshly cracked black peppercorns
- 1 tablespoon dried sage
- 2 teaspoons dried thyme (or 5 to 6 fresh sprigs)
- 4 to 6 bay leaves
- 3 to 4 fresh rosemary sprigs
- 2 to 3 lemons quartered
- 2 to 3 oranges quartered
