VX-DX head swap?

I have a VX with bent valves, my friend is giving me his DX head. Can i run the DX head on my D15Z motor? Keep in mind that the D15Z HX civic is a VTEC-E motor and the DX is not.

Here are the specs on both motors......

yea you can do it, I think you'll need a new ecu though, and if the dx head is obd1 you gotta swap the distributor

Yo man, just try to find a D16Z6 head and Intake manifold right now.... Its a VERY simple mini me swap.

I think i'm a give it a shot and keep ya'll updated. The only thing i will use is the DX head and keep everything else as is, i will reuse the VX manifold. This way, all sensors will remain the same, except the "minus" vtec selenoid on the head.
