88 Subaru DL for about 2 years. died in 2002 with ~89K on it. My mom was the original owner and bought it brand new.
thread title explains enough, what did you drive in highschool, I will kick it off, the first car I really built , 90 crx si, I know its not quite in style by todays standards , but in 07-08 shit was tyte dood, b18a1 crx

Anyway, my first car was a VW 93 Fox. Looked something like this:
Cost my dad $1,500. I was a dickbag of a teenager though, and I complained about the car so much that he eventually sold it and got me a 88 Prelude Si instead, which I loved. Had the 4 wheel steering. Didn't last long though...some redneck in a Blazer smashed into it in the school parking lot.
After that, hmmm...

first car i had was a 1 owner 91 toyota camry.
bought it with over 200k on it. and still had the oil filter that came on it from the factory according to the lady i bought it from. she never serviced it. ever.
transmission barely shifted, and wouldnt shift at the worst of times (imagine pulling out into a busy road, and then you reach a max speed of 10mph)
engine leaked/burned the shit out of oil.
was told by my mother that i couldnt get a new car until that one stopped running.
so i stopped adding oil.
rod started knocking, and my shop teacher put 4 qts in hopes that i at least make it home that day.
that god damned thing drove for over a month until it finally tossed that rod.
then i bought a 94 integra. rocked that for a couple of years.

This scenario has occurred in my MR2. It's GONNA happen.
IDK, caught a lot of dome in my Integra. Never banged out in it.
first car i had was a 1973 VW Super Beetle. the engine caught on fire and destroyed the whole car. a week later, my dad bought me a 1990 Ford Escort GT. this was back in 1992/1993.

hell, if i can bang out in a CRX at 6'2" 200lbs, you can do it in anything.. lol
It can be done, my highschool gf had a brand new 97 integra that we broke in properly. and then soon after that i bought a DA that saw at least a couple sessions, and im 6'1". So yeah, teenagers will bang anywhere.
