What the hell is wrong with my car?

My car ('91 Civic Si) died a few months back and I thought it was due to the fuel pump. The car smelled like gas when it sat with the windows rolled up or on hard acceleration. So I changed that out and swapped a known-good cap, rotor and coil from my DX and the car started up twice. Now, it won't start anymore. I also swapped batteries between the two cars and had the charging system checked twice before it took its first shit. The alternator looks like it's brand new and I remember the guy I bought it from saying that he replaced a few months earlier. It also had a hunting idle and when I asked him about it he said, "oh that's the chip we put in it". So I'm assuming it's an eBay "performance" chip. I've looked at the ECU and it looks completely stock, all the chips have the factory stamps and the soldering looks clean. I just bought another PM6 to see if that's the problem, it should be here in a few days. Until them, I need some thoughts. The trouble shooting guide in my Haynes says its the alternator, fuel pump or an intake leak at the IM/TB. That's the one thing I haven't done yet. Only mods are a DC 4-2-1 and short ram. There's also a new O2 sensor. So, what do you guys think it is? No codes, but it does blip once when started which would be the O2 sensor. I'm fairly sure it's the ECU but I don't know. How would I go about checking the gasket between the IM plenum and TB without being able to start it? The car was still hunting a little after it started and got warmed up. Any thought and/or ideas would be greatly appreciated. :)

sounds like it's probably the ECU, just wait and swap them and see if that fixes the problem.
