Looking at wheels. I'll probably get 17's since they are not to big, but not to small for me.

Velox VX-Nova's ($160 each) (23 lbs)

Velox VX-5's ($350 each) (29 lbs)

5zigen Copse ($199 each) (23.5 lbs)

Racing Hart Concept 5 ($220 each) (28 lbs)

If you know of any other wheels that wont break my budget with a similar style go ahead and post them.

As you can see I like 5-6 spoke bar's. I don't like ones that really bend out either (like the Velox PG-5's for example.)

EDIT: Added weights.

i voted for the 5zigen, I like the way they look on cars. But i am sure they are not as light as a 15 or 16 inch choice.

the 5zigens are the best out of the choices in my opinion.......but hey....im 99% into power and 1% into everything else...

Do you have the corresponding wheel weight. By looks I like the 5zigen's best, but I would guess the racing harts are lightest. If the weight difference is significant I would get the racing harts, otherwise I would get the 5zigens if its within say 2 lbs a wheel. JMO.

fuck a budget, Racing Hart CP-035

I don't like 035's because they are a split design. The dual 5 spokes don't do it for me, I like solidness.

If you really want some nice rim's, i would save to buy some Volk TE-37's.
The 17's are like 13 lbs and they look cool as hell.

Velox VX-Nova's because they're the cheapest and lightest.

I say go with some Rota Slipstreams for ~$500 in 16x7. Better tire choice.

The Slipstreams look a bit chubby for me, but the price is good.

AllJDM over there has some 15" black ones for $450 shipped... but I doubt they come in 17 do they?

this poll sucks.

nothing under 20 lbs? jesus

might as well swap in a cx motor

Heh.

Well if I'm going to get style points somewhere this is where I want them.

I haven't seen to many light-weight wheels. And the ones I have seen I don't like.
The whole point in modifying your car is to make it into something you will enojy.

I enjoy speed, but I enjoy style also.
Under the hood it doesn't matter what it looks like as long as its built strong and tuned properly.

Outside however I don't want to look like I'm rolling around on DX wheels with hubcaps.

That and I'm fairly picky about what I want. I'm really looking for something with flat bars (like the nova's) and less leaning towards the curved bars (like the copse's).
I like the VX-5's but the cost and weight does seem a bit outragous.

Was wondering if anyone has seen any similar rims also, two people made good sugestions but I wasn't exactly fond of either. But that is a personal preference.

What other exterior mods do you have/will have? What color is your car?

After the car gets painted it will be a light silver.

Maybe like the silver they use on Celicas.

I was actually just looking at Sub Zeros.

I know I said before I don't like the 035's, but they kinda grew on me the more I saw them on every fucking site I went to :p

:werd:

Get some gunmetal rims for sure, possible with a polished lip. Gunmetal owns

Don't you think Gunmetal would be a bit dark on a silver car?

I like the steel grey's or possibly bronze (as long as the bronze isn't too gold.)

Click to see Rota Sub Zero's In 7 colors.

3 More Closeups (Bronze, Gunmetal & What appears to possibly be Steel Grey)

These close ups really make me like the color on the Sube, and the bronze looks good too. The gunmetal almost looks black.

The 17's are 16.5 Lbs each. Which is about 7 lbs less than the Nova's and Copse's.
7 lbs x 10 (unsprung difference) x 4 wheels = 280lbs sprung weight difference. Wow.
