Hey i have a freind whos civic is blowing white smoke out of the tail pipe, motor section and vents. overheats as well. vents blow cold. can figure out what is going on. is it the head gasket? what all could it be? radiator fluid is full. i dont know someone help.

Thanks!

and your oil for any creamy discoloration. Same idea, just checking the oil for water and coolant. Also, if you are in fact burning water, you will notice your coolant water level dropping over time.

its not oil, b/c oil = blue smoke

water = white smoke
so check a water line into the head, or the headgasket. also if its blowing white smoke into the car, its gotta be a line, not ur head gasket.

that head gasket is gone, my friend.

Overheating + tons of white smoke = fux0red head gasket...He might want to check for any internal damage.

yeah, don't keep drivin it pull that mother off and clean everything up, before you start it again flush out the oil by doing like 3 changes to get all the water out, your bottom end may be ok, but with mater in the rod bearings in such theres a good chance it will sieze on down the road...

Not water, mostly it's the coolant, even though coolant should be a 50/50 mix the white actually comes from the ethynal ...ethanal...(sp?) in the coolant.

white smoke=coolant
blue smoke=oil

Also if you notice puddles of stuff on the ground, stick your finger in it and lick it...if it's really sweet, you're leaking coolant.

I have the same problem,I noticed that it is leaking oil because i took the intake manifold to replace it with TYPE R Manifold(Extra Info) and the gasket was soaked with oil ,It look's to be coming from the valve so either my seals are bad,Valve guides or the VALVE'S.

SO take the manifolds off just a bit and check for any oil.

And the smoke im getting is white little blue BUT SMELL'S LIKE UNBURNED GAS.
