Will an ITR LSD unit fit a 1990 USDM S1 LS tranny?

USDM LS transmission is a YS1 not S1 thats something JDM... I think Civic not sure though

no it won't and the S1 is very different in terms of gearing from the ls tranny that was cable

Well, this is a cable tranny... maybe I have the designation wrong. I'll check back with the guy to make sure it is an S1.
